Dalmatian breed of dog

Dalmatian breed of dog

Although it was originally a hunting dog, British admiration for the attributes and appearance of the Dalmatian dog breed made it a companion dog.
In the 18th century, the Dalmatian accompanied luxury crews in England, running alongside coaches (coach dog). That's where the breed probably got its strong sense of friendship with horses.

Intelligent, a good guard dog, easy to train, being used for this reason as a police dog in America, the Dalmatian has a refined elegance, without delicate or feeble features and proves to have a real attachment and loyalty to the owner and his family. Decorative, robust, fast and resilient in running, the only thing to reproach is its sometimes difficult nature, a defect which can arise from hereditary faults due to faulty breed selection, but is not a characteristic of the breed.

At birth completely white, the spots begin to appear gradually in the Dalmatian breed, within two weeks being completely distinct.

From 1959, after the appearance of the Disney 101 Dalmatians movie, the breed experienced and unprecedented vogue.
